VIDEO: Celebrate St. Brigid’s Day

The Feast of Brigid, also known as Imbolc on February 1st, celebrates the arrival of Spring, with longer and warmer days approaching.

In ancient Irish mythology, Brigid was a fire goddess. The making of St. Brigid’s crosses is a ritual in Ireland every Spring. The crosses are made of rushes and are usually hung from the door or rafters of a house to protect the house from fire or evil.
