A host of stars are set to perform this September for the ‘Moonlight in Mayo’ Charity Gala Concert, taking place at the Royal Theatre Castlebar on September 20th.
Iconic duo Foster and Allen are headline acts for this year’s concert while Sligo’s very own Patrick Feeney will add a country element to the night. County Mayo performers include Wavelength, Thomas Langan, The Garvey Brothers, as well as Achill’s Paddy Joe. Ireland’s Got Talent finalists Atlantic Rhythm are set to wow the audience with a feast of Irish Music and Dance while finalising the concert’s line-up is traditional singer Anne-Marie O’Riordan. The Cork native is best known for her recording of ‘The Story I Tell You Is True’ which remains popular today.
Seven local charities will benefit from the event, these include; Mayo Special Olympics, Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation, Guide Dogs for The Blind, Liverpool Irish Community Care, Mayo Charity for the Irish Diaspora, Mayo Suicide Awareness, and the Castlebar Centre for the Unemployed.
Tickets priced at €20 are now on sale at the Royal Theatre Box Office on (094) 9023111. Organisers say tickets are selling fast and are expecting a full house on September 2oth next. Doors open at 7 pm with the show commencing at 8 pm.
